the Caribbean and South America. Bois bande/ Babande root is typically used as an extract or tincture.
Make a tincture/extract: non-alcoholic
1. Pour 1/2 - a whole 8oz bag of Bois bande root/bark into a sauce pan.
2. Add 32-48 oz of water (you can add cinnamon stick or a small gumball size piece of ginger) bring water to a boil.
3. Allow your roots/bark to stand for 8 hours; make sure to submerge the roots/bark as much as possible.
4. For greater potency repeat the process only slightly topping up the water enough to submerge your Bois bande.
5. Keep refrigerated after cooling and sweeten to taste. You can blend with another beverage or drink as is. Note: You can drink 1 cup when needed and refrigerate the remainder after each use.
